Yesterday, the Grant Yonkman Adventure Team celebrated Maine Maple Sunday with our friends at Painted Pepper Farm in Steuben. We met Jordan and Lisa, and their daughters–who have built Painted Pepper Farm with their own hands in harmony with the downeast coastal forest–at Milbridge Congregational Church, where we have been worshipping for the past four months.

Maine Maple Sunday is a statewide event promoting Maine maple products. Maine Maple Sunday at Painted Pepper Farm has become a highly anticipated community event. This past Sunday, many hundreds of people drove from all over the state to gather at the farm for music, talks, storytelling, baby-goats-holding, organic-gelato-eating, and, of course, maple-syrup-enjoying.

Jordan and Lisa and their girls have created something wonderful at Painted Pepper Farm, and their dairy and maple products are super yummy.
